JOB TITLE: Manager of Renovations

General Summary of Duties:The Manager of Renovations position will primarily be responsible for the management of new site renovation and construction items related to integrating/upgrading acquired/aging site(s) to GO Car Wash (“GOCW”) equipment, customer experience and branding standards.  Manager of Renovation will need to be able to manage multiple projects at the same time and have excellent project management, organizational and communication skills.  Will also focus on avenues to increase productivity/efficiency that is focused on business expense reduction.

Reports To: Sr. Director of Construction 

FLSA Status: Exempt

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The ability to lift 25/50 pounds occasionally. 


  • Managing the renovation of acquired site(s) to meet GOCW, “Fit for Purpose” standards (POS, equipment, building and grounds, and site branding).
  • Communicate effectively and interact directly with Operations Team and any other relevant departments; including onsite management to determine scope.
  • Site visits to develop the CAPEX budget and provides recommendations on scope of renovation project.
  • Proactively communicate/escalate any challenges and/or barriers to meeting timelines and goals.
  • Manage all projects through current technology systems – creating and managing to timelines and budgets for successful renovation completion.
  • Proactively search for ways of reducing business operational expense within the field through increased efficiency and/or consolidation of services.
  • Work with Finance to ensure site renovation expenses are as cost effective as possible, completing renovation projects at or below the approved CAPEX budget.
  • Work with GOCW leadership as well as 3rd party contractors/service providers to ensure renovation goals are met.
  • Schedule/manage renovation schedules with internal renovation team(s) and 3rd party service providers.
  • Management of staffing/development of internal Renovation Team
  • Secure/Foster relationships with 3rd Party Renovation Support Providers
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures
  • Manage the process for evaluating the need for and procuring site equipment as well as managing the process of mocking up, approving and execution of upgrading site branding (building/site paint and signage). Maintain accurate inventory of site equipment as well as renovation team’s tools and equipment for renovation use.
  • Acts as an ambassador for GO Car Wash. Lives and breathes the GO Car Wash core values every day.
  • Assume additional responsibilities and special projects as assigned such as IT, Marketing and other Operational projects as requested/needed.
  • Manage renovation team(s) in a “safety first” fashion to ensure team member retention and quality of work.

EXPERIENCE:  3-5 years of tunnel carwash equipment, operational and faculties experience and 3-5 years of operational/technical/project Management experience in a dynamic, everchanging environment. Certification in Project Management desired.

EDUCATION:  Bachelor’s Degree or higher is preferred but not required


  • Willingness and flexibility to travel throughout United States up to 70% of time.
  • Must be proficient at Excel/PowerPoint and other Microsoft Tools. Experience working in Smartsheets a plus.
  • Have strong communication skills and a “glass half full” focus.
